Association of African Aviation Training Organizations (AATO) General Assembly

AATO General Assembly
Date : 24 - 26 November 2025
Location : Addis Ababa Ethiopia
Venue : Skylight Hotel

Join us for the Fifth AATO General Assembly (GA 5), taking place from 24 to 26 November 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at the Skylight Hotel, hosted by the Ethiopia Aviation University (EAU).

The global aviation system is facing unprecedented growth and complexity and requires increasingly more professionals to support it. The situation in Africa shows that there is a high and increasing demand for aviation professionals and these require to be trained in all sectors of the industry. The situation in Africa is worsened by lack of adequate training capacity to respond to the current and future demands for aviation training and the migration of qualified personnel for greener pastures outside the continent.

In Africa the demand for more aviation personnel will be driven by a rapidly expanding aviation industry due to growing economies, rapidly expanding middle class, increase in foreign direct investments, and a youthful population which has a high propensity to travel.

Guided by this year’s theme —“Aviation Training: Enabler for the Industry Innovation, Growth,, Resilience and Sustainability”— the AATO GA 5  will bring together Aviation Training Organizations, Air Navigation Service Providers, Airlines, Airport Companies, Civil Aviation Authorities, Regional Oversight Organizations, Industry leaders, Education and Training experts, Regional and International organizations, and youth to  fruitfully engage and come up with solutions to address the current and future capacity building challenges.

Over the two days, the assembly will feature high-level plenary sessions, training solutions exhibitions, and fruitful engagements to address pertinent training and capacity building initiatives.

Don’t miss the opportunity and moment to meet, connect, share ideas and come up with new ways to revamp the aviation industry differently and better by robust training solutions.
